43 individuals arrested on drug-related charges in Tbilisi and regions

Forty-three people have been arrested on drug-related charges in Tbilisi and the regions, including both Georgian and foreign nationals, Interior Minister Geka Geladze announced.

According to the minister, the fight against drug crimes continues intensively nationwide.

“Evidence obtained by law enforcement shows that the arrested individuals used various internet applications, social networks, and the so-called hand-to-hand delivery method for drug distribution.

Ministry staff and subordinate police units continue intensive 24-hour operations nationwide against illegal drug trafficking and are conducting comprehensive measures to arrest drug dealers, for which I thank each of them,” Geladze stated.
