Lithuanian Prime Minister extends Independence Day greetings to Georgia

The Prime Minister of the Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis congratulates the Georgian people on Independence Day.

As the Lithuanian Prime Minister wrote on Twitter  “Lithuania is committed to further support Sakartvelo’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations”.

“On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis extends greetings to the people of Georgia on the occasion of the Independence Day.

‘This year the celebration will be different because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit hard all of us. It tests the resilience of our health systems, the strength of our economies, and the solidarity among individuals and states. Nevertheless, I am convinced that innovative solutions of national governments will allow us to address the challenges of the pandemic, and we will emerge stronger from the crisis. Lithuania is committed to further support Sakartvelo’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Our countries have laid strong foundations for mutually beneficial cooperation and share common values and interests. We are ready to continue the successful development of our bilateral cooperation and to contribute to Sakartvelo’s path into the European community’, reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
