The closure event of the Teachers’ Digital Skills Development Initiative, a program funded through the Alumni Grants Program by the US Embassy in Georgia, was held in Tbilisi.

US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, Deputy Education Minister Eka Dgebuadze and the participant teachers attended the event.

The 10-month long project for the in-person Digital Education Program for teachers from Akhmeta and Keda municipalities began in September 2020. Thirty teachers participated in the project.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the conclusion of a ten-month program designed to modernize teaching methods through digitalization. This was a chance to help teachers develop new skills for teaching students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, all the skills that everyone needs these days to come out into the world to get a good job,” US Ambassador said.
