Street of Georgians opened in Vilnius

The Street of Georgians – Kartvelų Gatvė – was opened in Lithuania’s capital city Vilnius – Khatuna Salukvadze, Georgian Ambassador to Lithuania reported.

The Ambassador opened the street within the framework of Georgian Culture Days “Spring – 2019” together with members of Suliko Ensemble of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater.

Tbilisi Square has existed in Vilnius since 2015. In 2018, based on the decision of Lithuanian State Language Commission, the name of country Georgia has been replaced with Sakartvelas. Georgia calls the country as Lietuva.
