Police officers were under pressure and they were experiencing and enduring the violence for hours – Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said during the awarding ceremony of doctors, who were on duty on June 20-21 during the protest outside the parliament building at central Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.
President thanked police officers and journalists who worked on the night of June 20 at the awarding ceremony held at Atoneli Presidential Palace. “I will not touch upon the issue of the excess of power. This is the subject of the ongoing investigation and everybody will be punished who is guilty,” Zurabishvili said.
