President Michel to welcome Georgian PM in Brussels in two weeks

“We will have the pleasure to welcome the Georgian Prime Minister in Brussels in two weeks for the Association Council meeting, which is the most important framework for the EU-Georgia relationship,” European Council President Charles Michel said at a press conference after the meeting with Georgian PM.

Charles Michel noted, the EU is a reliable partner for Georgia.

“Georgia faces a difficult situation in a complex region. There are many political difficulties and challenges at the international level. Therefore, it is important to find a political solution. The only way is political dialogue. That’s why I am pleased with the message expressed by the Prime Minister. We are ready to support all the positive efforts. All political actors, not only the government but also the opposition, should try to play a positive and constructive role and to take steps in the right direction,” Charles Michel said.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili expressed readiness to meet the opposition.
