Nino Gvenetadze resigns from the post of the Chairperson of the Supreme Court and the High Council of Justice. The press service has released this information.
She named her health condition and the need for several-month treatment abroad as the cause for her decision.
Nino Gvenetadze released a statement about her resignation, where she reviewed the reforms carried out in the Supreme Court, the High Council of Justice and the common courts system under her leadership since 20 March 2015.
She underlined the support of the embassies, international and donor organizations, as well as good cooperation with NGOs.
Nino Gvenetadze thanked her employees for fruitful efforts and expressed hope that the Georgian justice will ensure the protection of human rights, the rule of law and justice.
