Nana Khunchua elected Chairperson of Prosecutors’ Council

Nana Khunchua was elected Chairperson of Prosecutors’ Council during the sitting held at General Prosecutor’s Office.

The chairperson was elected through secret balloting by the majority of the attendees with a 2-year term.

Two candidates were named during the sitting – Prosecutor Nana Khunchua and Lawyer Irma Chkadua.

Members of the council welcomed strengthening of women’s role in the work of the Prosecutor’s Office.
