IPRM Group meeting in Ergneti

The Georgian side has demanded the release of unlawfully detained and convicted Georgian citizens at the Ergneti Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meeting earlier today.

Representatives of the Georgian government said the dialogue on these cases continues.

“The meeting discussed the issue of the unlawfully detained Georgian citizens’ release. You know, our international partners showed unprecedented involvement in Zaza Gakheladze’s case, as well as other cases of fellow citizens illegally detained by the occupation regime. The dialogue took place. The de facto government agreed to continue negotiations on these issues,” Irakli Antadze, Deputy Head of the Information-Analytical Department of State Security Service, declared after the meeting.

Georgian side also protested over the borderization process that damages the security environment and threatens locals residing across the occupational line.
