Guria Express employees continue strike in Ozurgeti

Employees of the Guria Express flour mill in Ozurgeti city of western Georgia have been on strike for 21 days. Demonstrators demand higher wages, health insurance, and better working conditions. Mill employees speak of the degrading treatment by the administration.

“We hoped for negotiations, but it seems that they will not compromise. They have employed citizens of another country. We will not stop the protest,” said one of the protesters, Gela Kadeishvili.

Guria Express has not commented to the media today.
