Georgian PM, Chairman of Verkhovna Rada meet

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili held a meeting with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov on Sunday, the government’s press service has reported.

The meeting was focused on the key topics of the strategic partnership agenda of the two countries and various areas of successful cooperation.

It was noted that political dialogue between the two nations is at a profoundly high level and apart from the people-to-people contacts, the partnership is based on common interests and aspirations.

Discussions were related to the successful cooperation between the legislative authorities of Georgia and Ukraine. Readiness was expressed to further deepen the linkages.

Dignitaries praised the high-level cooperation and mutual support of Georgia and Ukraine within the format of international organizations, including the UN, OSCE, and Council of Europe, thereby expressing readiness to further continue close cooperation and support.

The Prime Minister of Georgia reassured the Chairman of Verkhovna Rada in the unwavering support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and expressed gratitude for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia within the internationally recognized borders.

Earlier today, Irakli Garibashvili met with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal. He will also meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Georgian PM will be participating in the Crimean Platform Summit on Monday, which will be attended by over 40 sovereign leaders.
