Georgian Parliament moves onto remote relationship regime with media

The Georgian parliament will move onto a remote relationship regime with the media starting today in connection with regulations activated in prevention of spread of the novel coronavirus in the country – Mikheil Peikrishvili, Advisor to Parliament Speaker confirmed to Georgian First Channel.

Journalists will be prohibited from entering the supreme legislative body starting the morning of March 20. Plenary sittings and committee meetings will be traditionally broadcast via the official web-page of the parliament, Facebook page and Second Channel of Georgian Public Broadcaster.

The Press Service of the parliament will take additional photos and record comments of lawmakers upon request of a journalist on a specific question.
