FAO allocates three million GEL grant to Georgia

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations issued 84 agriculture grants worth 3 million GEL to Georgia in 2020.

The grant competition under COVID-19 conditions is part of the relief program to Georgia. It aims at the support of agriculture, the boost of productivity, the creation of jobs, and the sustainable production of food.

Farmers will obtain the grant co-financing for the soil cultivation, purchase, installation of equipment, and irrigation systems.

In addition to the three million already issued, another 18 beneficiaries were approved grant funding of GEL 2.6 million in December.
