City Hall launches project of replacement of Khrushovka residential flats in Tbilisi

Tbilisi City Hall launches the project of a gradual replacement of Khrushovka residential flats in Tbilisi.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated at today’s government sitting that the City Hall announces the expression of interest for developing  a residential complex aton the 30 205 sq.m land plot, located in the III massive of Varketili district in Tbilisi.

“I’d like to talk about one of my pre-election promises – replacement of so-called ‘’Khrushchovka’’ block of flats…The City Hall services have worked a lot, I would like to introduce the first project. Tbilisi City Hall announces the expression of interest In order to develop a residential complex on the 30 205 sq.m land plot, located in the III massive of Varketili district, and we invite a private sector. The winner in the expression of interest will implement this project in accordance with the Development Regulation Plan adopted by Tbilisi City Council, ” – Kaladze said.

The Mayor explained that at the first stage the project envisages replacement of 4 block of flats, located in 6 th and 8 th quarters in the III massive of Varketili district.
