CEC - Records of Georgian voters published by hackers do not match official data

The Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC) has echoed the information published by the online website – ZDNet – saying that voter information for more than 4.9 million Georgians, including deceased citizens, has been published on a hacking forum.

CEC pointed out that the released figures do not match official data. The Central Election Commission noted that official database contains 3 500 000 voters, however, their phone numbers are not included. CEC also denies information about the deceased citizens in the data.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) has commented on this issue and said that the agency has been studying the case. Additional comments will be known later.
