Angela Merkel: Job quotas for Georgian citizens to be introduced in Germany

The draft law is being worked out in Germany, according to which quotas for legal jobs for citizens of Georgia and Balkans will be introduced in order to create legal and legitimate opportunities for employment, – German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated in response to the question during the meeting with the students at Tbilisi State University.

“We are now working on the draft law about the field specialists, for individual professions, that are in the deficit on the German market.

Within the framework of the Association Agreement, we will create quotas including for Georgia and Western Balkan countries in order to create legal and legitimate opportunities for employment. We will strengthen vocational education institutions” , – Chancellor said.
