Georgian PM, German Chancellor hold phone talk

Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia held a telephone conversation with Olaf Scholz, Federal Chancellor of Germany today.

The duo spoke about the positive decision made by the European Commission during their telephone conversation.

According to the government’s press office, Scholz commanded the progress achieved by Georgia.

“The Head of Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to Olaf Scholz for the significant support and assistance rendered during the implementation of recommendations issued by the European Union and highlighted the great importance of further support on the Georgian journey of European integration from the Federal Republic of Germany. The Chancellor noted that Germany will continue supporting Georgia on the road leading to the EU.

As noted by Irakli Garibashvili, Georgia is expecting the European Council to confirm the recommendation issued by the European Commission at the end of the year, which will let our country transition to a new stage of EU integration. The PM said authorities of the country will continue the successfully initiated process of implementation in view of the recommendations.
