Zurab Japaridze says Public Broadcaster is nonsense and it should be abolished

“The Public Broadcaster with its essence is nonsense and it should be abolished,” said Zurab Japaridze, the leader of the political union Girchi.

Japaridze responded to the remark of the majoritarian candidate of United National Movement, Kakha Okriashvili, who said that after the October elections, Public Broadcaster should be revoked.

“I have been saying for nearly 15 years that the Public Broadcaster should be sold, including its building in the city centre,” stated Japaridze.

The leader of Girchi also noted that “the obligations of the Public Broadcaster, which are protected by the law, including the direction of minorities, are nonsense.”
