Abashidze added that the Georgian authorities are doing their best to release Vazha Gaprindashvili as soon as possible.
‘I am very sorry that we are in this situation. When I heard information from my Russian counterpart that Vazha Gaprindashvili would presumably be released in the nearest days, I shared this information with the doctor`s family. Unfortunately, days have passed and he still is in illegal custody.
I assure you that the Georgian authorities are doing their best. All available leverage is actuated.
