Youth organizations fly Georgian, EU flags in connection with National Flag Day
Organized by the Youth Agreement Act initiative group, representatives of youth organizations raised the Georgian and European Union flags on the historic Narikala Fortress in connection with the National Flag Day, observed on January 14 in Georgia.
According to the initiative group of the Youth Agreement Act, the activity aimed to highlight the significance of the Georgian national flag and its role as a symbol of national unity, harmony, and sovereignty.
“The Georgian national flag unites the country’s historic heritage, fight for freedom and responsibility for a common future. This year, Georgia’s youth decided to fly the EU flag alongside the Georgian flag as a sign of commitment to Georgia’s EU integration path. In their assessment, the Georgian flag, state sovereignty and national interests will be best defended in the European community,” reads the statement.
