Vladimir Putin meets with so-called President of occupied Abkhazia
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the so-called President of occupied Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania in Sochi.
According to the Russian presidential administration, Putin told Bzhania that “Russia is Abkhazia’s number one partner, as it has more than 70 per cent of the republic’s economic turnover with Russia.”
Putin also told Bzhania that Russian doctors’ assistance to Abkhazia in the fight against the pandemic is essential, as joint work continues in the Gudauta Red Zone.
According to the Russian presidential administration, for his part, Aslan Bzhania thanked Vladimir Putin for his assistance during the pandemic. Bzhania also noted that the agreements signed with Russia are fully in line with the interests of Abkhazia. Bzhania also invited Putin to Abkhazia.
