Vladimir Konstantinidi – Foreign Ministry is working in 24-hour regime for release of Georgian citizens
Foreign Ministry is working in 24-hour regime with all actors who may influence these processes and the occupation regime, – Georgian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Vladimir Konstantinidi said at the briefing when talking about the abduction of eight Georgian citizens by representatives of the occupation regime.
“You know that the occupation regime says they will hold a trial. We have activated all the leverages and mechanisms, and in fact, we are working for 24 hours with all actors who may influence these processes and the occupation regime regarding the detained citizens. We will talk about all these events, including the illegal borderization process, at the nearest meetings both in the Incident Mechanism format and the next round of the Geneva Talks. This issue will be raised very strongly once again,” Konstantinidi told reporters.
On August 17, eight Georgian citizens were illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the occupied village of Adzvistavi. They are taken to Tskhinvali isolator.
