Vice Speaker Volski: We aim for substantive strategic cooperation with America
“Cooperation between the United States and Georgia is of immense importance to our interests and perspective. The recent steps taken in bilateral relations are welcome and positive,” stated Gia Volski, the First Vice-Speaker of Parliament.
He expressed hope that Georgia-U.S. relations will continue to develop along this positive trajectory.
“A normal process is currently underway. I believe no one should use this as a pretext, whether against our country or to serve the interests of any political party. Our goal is to forge a strategic partnership that is not merely a title but one rich in meaningful content. Political partnership must be about substance, not just words. Unfortunately, there was a period when our relations with the United States lacked this depth. We have great hope that this phase is coming to an end,” Volski remarked.
