Vice Speaker Volski: Radical opposition aims to turn psychological terror into physical confrontation on May 26

According to Gia Volski, First Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, the radical opposition seeks to transform the psychological terror it has inflicted on society into a physical confrontation on May 26.

In an interview with journalists, Volski explained that the opposition aims to attract more people and incite greater unrest on that day.

“Why did they choose this particular date? Because there will be many people present on May 26, just as there were on April 9, and that is precisely why they selected it. We have seen deliberate provocation and politically motivated individuals. We have also observed how aggressive and active these people are. Furthermore, there has been psychological intimidation on their part, and they want this psychological terror to escalate into physical violence. That is why they chose May 26, a day that unites the nation. For them, symbolism holds no meaning; their symbol is dancing on the monument. To them, dancing on the April 9 monument is considered normal,” Volski stated.
