Vice PM Mdinaradze: Opposition lacks ideological unity, while they do have their hidden agenda
“The opposition does not have ideological unity. The only issue on which they are united ideologically is one they cannot speak about publicly, because it pertains to coming to power, seizing authority, and fulfilling external directives,” stated Mamuka Mdinaradze, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies, during a briefing today.
Mdinaradze emphasised that, accordingly, if there were no internal divisions among them, it would indeed be remarkable.
“If there were no divisions, it would be surprising, given their lack of genuine ideological cohesion. The only issue they agree upon, and the only one they are united on, is one they cannot openly acknowledge, because it involves taking power, seizing authority, and executing external tasks.
No politician in the world would openly recognise this. That is why they are unable to unite around this sole ideological issue or openly acknowledge it. Aside from this, they lack any authentic ideological unity or a shared idea that could really bring them together and be openly expressed. Consequently, confrontation is a natural outcome, and neither they nor we will be able to prevent it,” Mdinaradze concluded.
