Vice PM Mdinaradze: Georgians have always recognised true value of independence; it is our most precious word and our greatest treasure
“I congratulate the whole country on Independence Day, and generations must grow up with the conviction and the spirit that this is what matters above all else, and that everything flows from it,” declared Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for the Coordination of Law Enforcement, Mamuka Mdinaradze, speaking to journalists.
As Mdinaradze pointed out, a country’s independence is such a significant achievement that everything else pales in comparison.
“I wish to congratulate the whole country, our Motherland, on this day. If we say that all things are relative, then in our particular case, the independence of the country is a value so great, an achievement so immense, that everything else becomes secondary beside it. From it flow the guarantees of peace, the guarantees of security; from it flow prosperity and national pride. This is what matters most of all: Georgian men and women have always been prepared to sacrifice themselves. The Georgian has always understood full well how great the price of independence is; that is why it is both the most precious word and the most precious value of all. I congratulate the whole country on Independence Day, and generations must grow up with the conviction and the spirit that this is what matters above all else and that everything flows from it. If the country remains independent, then our national identity will be the matter about which we may speak freely. There is no greater day than this. This day is ours, and I congratulate all of Georgia once more,” declared Mamuka Mdinaradze.
