Veterans to buy medicines for chronic diseases at 1 GEL from September
Veterans will be able to buy medicines for chronic diseases at a symbolic price – 1 GEL from September – Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said after meeting with military servicemen at the rehabilitation center in Tserovani village of Shida Kartli region.
The government’s initiative will apply to 35 medicines for cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, diabetes, epilepsy, etc.
According to the Prime Minister, the program has so far been enjoyed mainly by retired persons, people with limited physical capabilities and socially vulnerable groups.
