Vehicle movement prohibited for trailers, semi-trailers on Gudauri-Kobi section

Due to difficult meteorological conditions (blizzard, limited visibility), the movement of trailers and semi-trailers on the Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway of international importance is temporarily restricted, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia reported on Friday.

According to agency, the movement of other types of vehicles is free.

“Vehicle travel on the Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi and Stepantsminda-Larsi portions will be non-stop. Vehicle traffic is permitted on the Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi segment in the second, third, fourth, and fifth avalanche protection tunnels. The first avalanche protection tunnel bypass is free,” the statement says.
