V-Dem: Georgia among top 50 countries with Freedom of Peaceful Assembly index

Georgia is among the top 50 countries and 1st in Europe with the Freedom of Peaceful Assembly index published by the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) organization.

Georgia received 3.5 of 4 points in the assessment system and improved the rating after 2012. In 2012, Georgia was among the top 3 dangerous countries alongside Russia and Belarus. Georgia improved its rating by 49 places after 11 years.

Georgia outruns the US, Great Britain, Switzerland, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey and other countries.

In the Freedom of Peaceful Assembly index, Georgia received the highest rating in 2023 and 2024.
