“Bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Georgia is on the rise; however, the two nations must look beyond commerce and elevate their partnership to a new level, progressing from trade to manufacturing, from manufacturing to logistics, from logistics to investment, and from investment to joint exports,” this was the central message delivered by the Uzbek Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, during his address at the ongoing Uzbekistan-Georgia Business Forum in Tbilisi.

The Minister emphasised that the governments of both nations stand fully prepared to back new commercial initiatives and ventures.

“We are here today accompanied by a delegation of 74 Uzbek companies, all of whom are eager to forge robust, long-term partnerships with their Georgian counterparts. Trade volumes between our countries are growing, but we must not stop at simple trade. We need to ascend to the next rung of the ladder: moving from trade to manufacturing, from manufacturing to logistics, from logistics to investment, and ultimately from investment to shared exports. This is where Uzbekistan and Georgia can achieve far more together.

The governments of both nations are ready and willing to support your business plans and commercial ideas. I urge you to make the absolute most of the opportunities this forum offers: engage with one another, cultivate new business contacts, build resilient partnerships, and play your part in developing unshakeable economic ties between our two countries. Please, do not let this opportunity pass you by. I wish you all a highly productive and successful day of meetings,” Minister Kudratov stated.
