The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide USD 67 million grant to Georgia under the Development Objectives Grant Agreement, the Georgian Parliament reported on Thursday.
“The grant amount can be increased gradually up to USD 330 million,” the parliamentary press service cited Deputy Minister of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze speaking at the sitting of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs today.
Georgia’s co-payment makes about USD 7,7 million, which will grow in line with the grant amount increase. The agreement enables USAID to implement projects in different directions, including strengthening resilience against malign influence, build citizen-responsive and accountable democratic institutions, and achieve inclusive economic growth that creates high-value job opportunities in communities around the country.
