US Gen. Cavoli visited Georgia

General Christopher Cavoli, U.S. Army Commander for Europe and Africa, visited Georgia on March 15-17. The visit aims at strengthening the Georgian Defense Forces within the US support.

Georgian Minister of Defense Juansher Burchuladze hosted the guest. Parties reaffirmed their readiness to cooperate in the field of security. The sides discussed security challenges in the region, cooperation initiatives and prospects for future cooperation. Joint exercises, including the multinational exercise Agile Spirit scheduled for summer 2021, were in focus.
