US Department of State committed to helping Georgia ensure agreement achieves its aspirations
We welcome the agreement reached in Georgia on April 19, State Department spokesperson Ned Price posted on Twitter following the signing of the political agreement between the parties in Georgia sponsored by the European Council President Charles Michel.
“This sign of good faith is important progress for Georgia’s democratic development. Implementation will be equally important. We remain committed to helping Georgia ensure this agreement achieves its aspirations,” Ned Price tweeted.
Most of the Georgian political parties signed A way ahead for Georgia, a compromise document submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19. This agreement is also open for individual members to sign, US Ambassador Kelly Degnan stated last night.
