US Department of Justice: Formula TV pays $110,250 to US lobbying firm
TV company Formula has reportedly paid $110,250 to the American lobbying firm Cornerstone Government Affairs for services provided between May and August of this year, according to records from the US Department of Justice.
Based on information published by the US Department of Justice, Formula TV was registered in May of this year, and it appears that Cornerstone has been engaged to provide public affairs and communications counsel related to the development and management of a communications program in the US for Formula TV.
The focus of Cornerstone’s activities seems to be on informing the US public about issues in Georgia, particularly regarding the treatment of independent media outlets in the country.
The activities of the lobbying firm include meetings with opinion leaders, outreach to elected officials, the administration, media, think tanks, public policy and trade organizations, business leaders, issue experts and academics.
Contacts with individuals like reporter Alex Raufoglu, who attends briefings at the State Department, as well as with representatives of the US government and Congress, have also been confirmed, according to the US Department of Justice.
