US Ambassador: Georgians and Americans are building a better future for our two countries and for this region

The US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan said in her video address that the year of 2020 was tough but Georgia and the US strengthened partnership that made real progress. The video address was published on Facebook page of the US Embassy in Georgia.

“In 2020 despite the challenges of Covid-19, we, as the US Embassy continued to deepen our partnership with Georgia across a range of areas. As we work together towards prosperous, stable and democratic Georgia, firmly anchored in the Euro-Atlantic family of nations, in particular dedicated to professional team at the US mission with our friends in Georgia work together in responding to the Covid-19 in improving the Georgian healthcare system, promoting fair and independent justice and strengthening the law enforcement, stimulating economic development and growth, creating good jobs and more investments, strengthening Georgia’s defense and security forces and supporting responsible media, education and cultural preservation.

Beyond the many programs mentioned, the most important link in US-Georgia partnership are people, together and through with and many other programs, Georgians and Americans are building a better future for our two countries and for this region.

2020 was a tough year, but it brought up the best in Georgia and the United States. We strengthened our partnership and made real progress together,” Kelly Degnan said.
