UNM's Sanikidze: Rustaveli Avenue and Levan Khabeishvili to announce October 4 rally details
“Our goal is for hundreds of thousands of citizens to gather on Rustaveli Avenue. Information about the plans, details, locations, as well as what the rally agenda will be, will be provided by the Rustaveli Avenue civic movement and Levan Khabeishvili, despite his incarceration,” declared Levan Sanikidze, a member of the United National Movement opposition party.
According to Sanikidze, October 4 is the day of return to the rails of European integration.
“Naturally, no one will interfere with Khabeishvili’s rhetoric. In Georgia, the state coup was carried out by Georgian Dream and Bidzina Ivanishvili; they killed the constitution in the country. The Georgian state was diverted from the rails of European integration, and October 4 is the day of returning to these rails.
We are continuing this campaign very actively. Our goal is for hundreds of thousands of fellow citizens to gather on Rustaveli Avenue. As for additional details regarding plans, particulars, locations, and what the rally agenda will be, the Rustaveli Avenue civic movement, as the rally organiser, and Levan Khabeishvili, despite his incarceration, will provide additional information,” declared Levan Sanikidze.
According to him, October 4 does not belong to any party, including the United National Movement; it is a popular process.
“Hundreds of thousands of Georgian citizens will have a concrete ultimatum, which involves removing Georgian Dream from the seats of power. How and in what manner this removal will occur, the Georgian people will see with their own eyes on October 4 and will be participants in it.
October 4 does not belong to any opposition party, including the United National Movement; October 4 is a popular process involving various opposition parties, civic groups, and individuals with high public trust, whose main motivation is to prevent Ivanishvili from achieving his personal mission on October 4.
Instead, the opposite should happen, a significant breakthrough in Georgia that will allow Georgia to return to those development rails from which it derailed in October 2012,” declared Levan Sanikidze.
