UNM's Pavlenishvili welcomes appointment of Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia

“We welcome the appointment of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia,” said Irakli Pavlenishvili, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party.

According to Pavlenishvili, Ukraine should have its representative in Georgia.

“When we speak about the confrontation, which existed several years ago and continues, but the absence of an ambassador for a while was logical. Something unprecedented happened; they kept hopes on Georgia when Georgia became an instrument of hybrid war, its representatives spreading Russian narratives in various international arenas. Therefore, it was natural that such regrettable facts occurred.

However, whether we deem the Georgian government legitimate or illegitimate, the Ukrainian government and Ukraine should have a representative in Georgia. We only welcome the appointment of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia,” he said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Mykhailo Brodowich as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia.
