The Deputy General Secretary of the United National Movement, Irakli Pavlenishvili, has called Lelo member Salome Samadashvili a “parlour politician”.

According to Pavlenishvili’s statement, Salome Samadashvili and politicians like her will never defeat an authoritarian regime, which is why they harbour resentment towards those who genuinely fight authoritarianism.

“Salome Samadashvili and politicians like her have, in reality, been Bidzina Ivanishvili’s lifeline over recent years; everyone knows this well. Such parlour politicians will never defeat an authoritarian regime, which is why they harbour resentment towards those who genuinely fight authoritarianism,” declared Irakli Pavlenishvili.

Opposition party Lelo member Salome Samadashvili stated that “everyone who doesn’t go to the elections is helping Bidzina Ivanishvili”. According to Samadashvili, “when an opposition voter doesn’t resist the regime even at the ballot box, they are thereby helping the regime consolidate its own positions”.
