“The story of Giorgi Gakharia (former PM, Interior Minister) is a chrestomathy – Ivanishvili should either be fought against or not, there is no middle,” said Irakli Pavlenishvili, Deputy General Secretary of the United National Movement (UNM) party.
According to Pavlenishvili, chronic traitor Gakharia has ultimately lost.
“They know it better than us how corrupt certain individuals are and how they violate human rights. Everyone is involved in corruption in an autocratic regime. There are compromates on everyone and when the leader decides, they are revelaed, discreditted and destroyed. This is the best practice from the Soviet traditions and criminal codes are drafted so that it could be easy to destroy and punish such individuals. Ivanishvili did that.
Kobakhidze and his associates knew better that Garibashvili and his team was corrupt, Partskhaladze (former general prosecutor) was corrupt and that Gakharia (ex-pm and interior minister) committed crimes. But these stories were left to the moment when a fight among clans required scapegoats and would benefit this confrontation,” he said.
Pavlenishvili believes Giorgi Gakharia betrayed Ivanishvili, the opposition, protest by taking up MP mandates by his party but ultimately lost.
“The story of Giorgi Gakharia (former PM) is a chrestomathy – Ivanishvili should either be fought against or not, there is no middle,” Irakli Pavlenishvili stated.
