UNM's Parulava: SSSG provides no evidence, briefs to please Ivanishvili, attempts to conceal crime
“BBC prepared its investigation documentary based on concrete evidence. The State Security Service provided neither evidence nor documentation and did not name the Israeli contractor company,” said Lasha Parulava, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party.
According to Parulava, the SSSG mentioned only the December 4-5 developments, and the so-called judicial investigation process is underway to conceal crimes of Ivanishvili’s regime.
“Our fellow citizens, who are failing to establish the truth in Georgia, will seek it within the international investigation. This is an attempt to conceal the crime and a report to Ivanishvili. Mdinaradze (SSSG Head) tells our citizens that they cannot find the truth in Georgia.
Also, there is a legislative initiative in the parliament drafted by Mamuka Mdinaradze, which aims to restrict media operations, with a record that they are guided by the BBC standards. Now the BBC is declared an adversary. Our fellow citizens, who are failing to establish the truth in Georgia, will seek it within the international investigation procedures. I am convinced the international investigation will be comprehensive, objective and impartial,” he said.
Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), Lasha Maghradze, stated at a briefing: “The investigation has established that the substance “o-Chlorobenzylidene Malononitrile” was used for crowd control on the night of December 4-5, 2024, with “propylene glycol” solution used as a solvent, and neither of these substances falls under the category of banned substances.”
