“On October 4, we are preparing for a peaceful overthrow. If they want to arrest us en masse, this will change nothing for the struggle. The plan is with the people, everyone knows what they must do, and this struggle will end in victory,” declared one of the United National Movement’s leaders, Irakli Nadiradze.

According to Nadiradze, the people are ready for victory and for a peaceful revolution.

“As you know, the lawyers announced they will appeal Levan Khabeishvili’s case to the Court of Appeals. Not because anyone believes the Court of Appeals will issue a different ruling; no, this process is political from start to finish. This was a direct order from Bidzina [Ivanishvili], because he believed he would lose to the Georgian people on October 4. He saw that there was faith in victory amongst the Georgian people and enormous momentum. He knows very well that the people are ready not only to come to Rustaveli, but also for victory, for a peaceful revolution.

Therefore, yes, this decision was political. Accordingly, they deliberately selected that ‘Sonder’ judge whose husband is an employee of the State Security Service, the very agency that fabricated Levan Khabeishvili’s case. Her husband is also accused and charged with ordering the throwing of stones during Levan Khabeishvili’s meeting with pensioners in Kaspi. Therefore, everything is quite clear.

They are very mistaken about one thing: even if they arrest Levan Khabeishvili, Paata Burchuladze, or any other politician or leader, this matter will reach its culmination, because it’s the people’s revolution, the people want victory, and, on October 4, the people will certainly triumph.

Regarding individual cowardly politicians’ statements that supposedly others will also be arrested for similar statements, no one fears either their arrests or encountering State Security Service thugs who will physically assault us. I repeat once more, yes, the offer stands: USD 200,000 to every law enforcement officer, every security officer who does not commit lawlessness, who does not turn a blind eye to peaceful demonstrators, who does not physically assault, brutalise or arrest people, because we are preparing for a peaceful revolution, a peaceful overthrow on October 4.

We are not even afraid of this word. If they want to arrest us, let them do so; if they want to arrest us en masse, let them. I repeat once more, this will change nothing for the struggle.
