UNM’s Murtaz Zodelava: Great revolution began in Georgia; more people should come tomorrow, no other remedy
“A revolutionary movement has now begun in our nation, a movement that will require several days of relentless struggle. More of us must come out tomorrow; there is no other way,” declared Murtaz Zodelava, a member of the National Movement.
According to him, for the revolution to succeed, more people need to take to the streets. “There is no other remedy,” he emphasised.
“Friends, today marks the start of a revolutionary process in our country, a great revolution. No revolution is over in just two or three hours; this is a long journey that demands days of perseverance and effort. But I believe with all my heart that the revolution will triumph. What has happened today is merely the beginning, the first step, and it must be continued tomorrow, the day after, and every day thereafter. We must come out in greater numbers, stand firm, and persevere. We will win. We cannot afford to give up.
A revolutionary process has started, and we must see it through to the very end. I am personally prepared to go to prison if necessary, because this fight must be carried all the way. The revolution must succeed. Today, October 4, marks the dawn of a great revolution, one that requires steadfastness, mutual support, and unwavering resolve. We will prevail.
We must stand as long as it takes, mobilise even more people tomorrow, there is no other solution. No alternative path exists. This is a long, arduous struggle, but together, we will achieve victory,” Murtaz Zodelava stated.
