UNM's Khabeishvili: U.S. Embassy statement shows Georgia's 'Russian government' aim to confront true partner

“The U.S. Embassy’s statement clearly indicates the ‘Russian’ government’s aspiration to maintain constant confrontation with our country’s genuine partner and to steer Georgia in the Russian direction,” said Levan Khabeishvili, Chairman of the Political Council of the Unity – National Movement.

He emphasized that the U.S. Embassy’s statement unmistakably reveals that the current so-called government is pro-Russian, anti-Georgian, anti-Western, and anti-American.

“The statement from the U.S. Embassy explicitly demonstrates the ‘Russian’ government’s ongoing efforts to spread false information, persistently conflict with Georgia’s true partners, and move Georgia closer to Russian interests. This statement makes one thing abundantly clear: the current so-called government is pro-Russian, anti-Georgian, anti-Western, and anti-American. Consequently, our only viable course of action is to dismantle this regime and overthrow Bidzina Ivanishvili,” Khabeishvili asserted.

The U.S. Embassy in Georgia issued a statement indicating that, at the request of Secretary of State Rubio, Ambassador Dunnigan sought a meeting with Bidzina Ivanishvili on May 22. However, Ivanishvili declined to meet with the ambassador.
