UNM MP says US to assign long-term election observers to monitor 2024 parliamentary polls

“At the meetings held in the US, we received the promise that as many as possible long-term election observers will arrive in Georgia to monitor the 2024 parliamentary elections that will make it possible to hold free polls and the voters’ choice be reflected,” said Tina Bokuchava, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party at the joint briefing of the UNM and Strategy Aghmashenebeli leaders.

According to Tina Bokuchava, the “vital geo-political elections” will lead to the change of the government and transformation of the US-Georgia relations onto a new stage, bringing all the benefits as envisaged by the Free Trade and other agreements.

Summing up the US visit, Tina Bokuchava briefed that the UNM and Strategy Aghmashenebeli leaders held meetings in the US Congress, Senate, IRI, NDI, and USAID.

UNM General Secretary Petre Tsiskarishvili, UNM parliamentary faction chairwoman Tina Bokuchava, UNM Deputy Secretary of Foreign Relations Aleksandre-Krevo Asatiani, and the Chairman of the Strategy Agmashenebeli party Giorgi Vashadze held the press conference.
