Petre Tsiskarishvili, General Secretary of the United National Movement (UNM), alongside party leader Levan Sanikidze, met with Lord Robin Teverson, a distinguished member of the House of Lords, during their visit to London.
According to the UNM’s press service, the party leaders held a meaningful discussion with Lord Teverson, described as a “great friend of Georgia and the Georgian people.” They urged the United Kingdom to impose personal sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili and his associates.
The UNM representatives reviewed the ongoing political crisis in Georgia and highlighted the steps taken by Ivanishvili’s regime toward authoritarianism and dictatorship.
During the meeting, the UNM representatives also underscored the importance of the UK’s support for Ukraine, expressing their gratitude for the steadfast backing extended to both the Georgian and Ukrainian peoples in their pursuit of sovereignty and democracy.
