UNESCO experts to study Gelati Complex

The UNESCO group of foreign experts arrived at the Gelati Monastery Complex to examine the situation on the ground, Deputy Minister of Culture Kakha Sikharulidze said on Wednesday.

The expert will scrutinize the faults made during the roofing works in 2008 and give their recommendations, Sikharulidze added.

UNESCO experts will also examine the damaged parts of the wall paintings and set a future action plan.
