Chair of the Security and Intelligence Committee members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Veysal Tipioğlu, along with an accompanying delegation on a working visit to Georgia, visited the occupation line near the village of Odzisi.

Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee Gia Benashvili accompanied the Turkish parliamentary delegation to the occupation line.

The Turkish legislators received a briefing on the occupation activities carried out by the Russian Federation in Georgia.

Gia Benashvili briefed his Turkish colleagues on Georgia’s chosen peace policy and emphasized the importance of strengthening international pressure on Russia to fulfill its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and international law.

As part of their visit to Georgia, members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly delegation met with Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Defense and Security Committee Chairman Aleksandre Tabatadze.
