Transavia launches flights from Amsterdam to Tbilisi

Low-budget Dutch airline Transavia has commenced operations at Tbilisi International Airport. The airline’s inaugural flight from Amsterdam to Tbilisi brought 187 passengers to the Georgian capital, while 185 passengers departed for Amsterdam.

According to TAV Georgia, Transavia will operate flights between Amsterdam and Tbilisi twice a week during the summer navigation season. The airline will use a Boeing 737-8 aircraft for the flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

An official event was held at Tbilisi International Airport to mark the start of Transavia’s operations.

Transavia is the leading budget airline in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the second-largest airline in the country. A member of the Air France–KLM group, Transavia has been serving over 100 destinations in more than 20 countries for 50 years, carrying nine million passengers annually. The airline operates from seven bases in the Netherlands, France, and Germany.
