Tina Bokuchava: Some political parties could not resist temptation; UNM will be on front line of struggle flying victory flag
“Regrettably, some democratic political parties could not resist the temptation, but the United National Movement, like it was during 13 years, will be on the front line of the struggle today, tomorrow, and on October 4 and will fly the flag of victory against Ivanishvili regime,” said Tina Bokuchava, UNM party Chair at the briefing held in Mziuri Park together with co-mate members from the Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo).
According to Tina Bokuchava, the UNM members convened to once again reconfirm that the party does not intend to participate in the October 4 local elections.
“We are hearing statements from the international community daily, including we heard from the European Parliament today that it does not recognize Ivanishvili’ illegitimate government, it will not cooperate with Ivanishvili’s Russian regime but it will collaborate with the government, which will lead our country to Europe and will be elected through new, free parliamentary elections,” she said.
The UNM Chair commended Sakrebulo members who “know the value of struggle” in villages, settlements, and cities from all regions. As she remarked, the unbreakable spirit of these people brought Georgian statehood to the present, and this is the team which will be uncompromised in its fight, with unity and will “fly the flag of victory,” she said.
