Three individuals sentenced to life imprisonment for Levan Jangveladze's murder case
The Tbilisi City Court sentenced three individuals – Davit and Giorgi Mikadzes and their associate Giorgi Jokhadze – to life imprisonment for the ordered and premeditated murder case of Levan Jangveladze, brother of the so-called “thief-in-law.”
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the court examined various evidence and confirmed that brothers Davit and Giorgi Mikadzes had a conflict with Levan Jangveladze over business activities and, through other individuals being in confrontation with the murdered businessman, planned and organized the murder.
The convicted individuals selected Giorgi Jokhadze’s trusted person, Gela Udzilauri, a former riot police officer, and offered to murder Levan Jangveladze in exchange for certain material benefits, to which Udzilauri agreed.
Levan Jangveladze, the brother of Merab Jangveladze, known as a “thief-in-law,” was shot dead in Tbilisi in March 2025.
